IMPROVED CUTTING- OR LAP-BOARD.
The Scheduld referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same I, NORMAN ODOXNELL, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county, Ohio,have invented a new and useful Cutting- Board or pap-Board, of which the fifllowing is a specifica t-ion.
Nature and Objects of the I n velttioif-- My invention consists of an improved manufacture v of the lap-board employed by seamstresses and others for cutting out their work upon.
These boards are, itis well known, commonly made of wood, and, hesidesbeing cumbersome, are liable to become split/or broken along the grain.
My improvement consists in making such hoards of I tar-hoard or straw-board, such as employed by bookbinders for the covers of books and portfolios, or I may use other thick paperboard, either plain or stif-v fened around its margin with rattan or wire, or other material.
