IMPROVEMENT IN CHURNS.'
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
Toall 'whom it may concern.-
Be it'known that I, SCHUYLER G. SHANKS, of Richmond, in the county of Madison and State of Kentucky, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Ohurn; and I do hereby decl-arc that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.

My invention relates to cburns, and consists in the construction and novel arrangement of a rotating churn-dasher', designed to impart contrary currents to the cream, thereby quickly .breaking the walls of the butter-cells.
The letter A of the drawing designates the shaft of my dasher, placedvusually in a vertical position, and piroted in a suitable socket in the bottom of the churn.
