DEVICE FOR CARRYING KEYS.

Specification of it is especially designed, the device including means for hookingover the upper endl of a pair ot' trousers and also for perm1tt-ing the ready application andv removal of a 4bunch of keys; and the invention consists in certain novel constructions and copibinations of parts as Will be hereinafter de-I scribed and claimed.

The supporting device, which as bfore suggested, is especially adapted for holding keys, is made of a single strip of metal or other suitable material bent to form the. book A to engage upon a garment and the open hook B which is closed bythe tongue C. In forming the supporting device vI bend a strip of suitable material upon itself atl forming the inner and'outer layers' 2 and 3 ot' the hook A with the said- layers 2 and 3 extended to forni vthe shank 4 of the .open hook B and the tongue C. ttheir engag-A ing points thc open hook B and its tongue (1 are slightly offset in opposite directions as shown at 5 and 6 forming a smooth surface at the trout side of the device to avoidl injury to the lining ot' the vest lwhen the ,device is used underlying such a garment.

While theinvention is especially designed i for holding keys, it is manifest it may be utllized for` supporting. other objects, and I do not desire Ato be restricted in the broadt'eatures of myinvention to any special-usev to which the device may be applied.
