Abstract
A method to prepare soil for sowing seeds of sweet sorghum includes: early spring harrowing of the topsoil by heavy toothed harrows, cultivating the soil by a cultivator coupled with the toothed harrows during the period of carrying out cultivation under the early cereal crops, presowing soil cultivation. In addition, the early spring harrowing of the topsoil by the heavy toothed harrows and cultivating the soil by a cultivator coupled with the toothed harrows during the period of carrying out cultivation under the early cereal crops is carried out at the optimum depth, which is determined depending on the depth of soil pre-sowing cultivation by the following formula: hesh=0.25hch=0.75hpc, where h esh – depth of early-spring harrowing of the topsoil by heavy toothed harrows, cm; hch - depth of cultivating the soil by a cultivator coupled with toothed harrows in the period of carrying out cultivation under early cereal crops, cm; hpc - depth of soil presowing cultivation at the depth of incorporating the seeds, cm.
