Abstract
A method for preventing the hematoma of the bowl of the external ear following the esthetic otoplasty comprises the broad separation of the cartilage in the area of the bowl by the external compression. Then the gauze pad with the silicone tube 1.1-5 cm in length is sewed ahead of the bowl. The pad is soaked with the ointment containing the antibacterial substances. Another gauze pad soaked with the antibacterial ointment without the silicone tube is sewed posteriorly. The pads are removed in 5-7 days following the surgery.
