Abstract

A method for wrapping an article with a heat shrinkable polymeric film, when the article has the first and second places, with a circle in the first place at least by 30 % more than circle in the second place, comprises: (a) stretching the polymeric film mainly in its longitudinal direction by means comprising at least one pair of rollers rotating in mutually different linear velocities, the gap between said rollers is at least 10 times smaller than the width of film to obtain a heat shrinkable polymeric film; (b) surrounding at least a portion of the outer surface of said article with a portion of said heat shrinkable polymeric film; and (c) heating said heat shrinkable polymeric film so as to shrink it around said article. The heat shrinkable film is used with shrinkage in the direction of movement thereof, and wrapping the article with polymeric sheet is carried out by surrounding.
