Abstract

A drive of a circular knitting machine includes an electric motor on the shaft of which a cylindrical pinion is fixed, vertical drive shaft at the ends of which the upper and the lower cylindrical pinions are rigidly fixed, the upper and the lower toothed wheels connected to the upper and the lower cylindrical pinions, respectively. The electric motor is diametrically opposed to the vertical drive shaft and connected to the lower toothed wheel by means of a cylindrical pinion. Additionally it is equipped with a motor-reducer and a free wheel clutch, by means of this one the motor-reducer is connected to the electric motor.
