Abstract
A method of extracting of iodine from the saline stratal waters comprises supplying the water purified from the solids to the chlorinator with simultaneous supply of concentrated sulfuric acid and chlorine, sorption of elemental iodine on ion exchange resin, treatment with sodium sulfite for reduction of elemental iodine to iodide. Stratal water is settled for 24 hours in the designed equipment with the addition of concentrated aqueous solution of NHCl, which mixes with stratal water.
