Abstract
A process for the preparation of products from silicon carbide, comprising the use of carbon matrix of desired configuration with open porosity, its saturation by liquid silicon is carried out in atmosphere of inert gas and silicon carbide is synthesized, and wherefore a matrix heating to the temperature of 1700-1800 °С at the pressure of inert gas 10-30 mbar is carried out, and after that the residual silicon is evaporated in vacuum at the temperature that is not less than 1900 °С for 60-100 minutes and carbon residue is burnt in oxygen.
