Abstract
The invention can be used for the production of spinel-corundum refractories, particularly – products for steel pouring. The process for the production of spinel-corundum material comprises the preparation of burnt briquette from periclase mixture with the content of MgO more than 96 mass % and alumina-containing component with the content of АlОmore than 96 weight %, in ratio in mixture MgO : А1О, equal to (16-26):(84:74). Sintering and modifying additives are additionally added to the mixture. Mixture based on spinel-corundum material contains 57-87 weight % of aluminum-magnesium spinel, 13-84 weight % of corundum and additionally – sintering additives. The technical result of the invention – increasing of thermal stability of material in twice, increasing of mechanical strength of products in 2-4 times, increasing of chemical stability in twice.
