Abstract

The invention relates to metallurgy. A method includes supply of liquid metal by jet from container-measuring hopper of intermediate ladle into the mold through immersion fireproof pipe, pulsating mixing of metal in the mold by periodic filling and displacement of metal by gas from the fireproof pipe, formation of ingot and its extraction from the mold. The level of metal in the fireproof pipe changes within the limits from 0.5… 1.5 to 5.0… 7.0 of initial hydraulic diameters of jet in the container-measuring hopper.
