Abstract

A traction control system for a vehicle comprises a container for storage of sand, which is made of plastic and is mounted near wheels. The upper part of container is made with a removable lid. In the bottom of container an outlet with a closed discharge valve is made. Additionally, the system comprises at least one electric pump for supply of compressed air, which is connected by an air duct to an outlet channel of at least one container and at least one solenoid valve to control sand supply, which are powered by an automatic control unit connected to the vehicle electrical power supply and consisting of a standard sensor of towing, an on/off button and an electrical relay. The outlet channel is made in the form of a nozzle with a solenoid valve and an air duct channel. The outlet of the container is narrowed, its outlet is closed by a plate, which is connected to the solenoid valve, which is activated when a slipping sensor is triggered. Under the removable lid in the upper part of the container a mesh is additionally installed for sifting sand.
