A method for producing cold rolled strips includes etching a hot-rolled strip, preliminary plastic deformation in a roll stand, enlargement of coils and further rolling on a continuous rolling mill of cold rolling up to the final thickness. Areas of a hot rolled strip with welded joints are deformed in a stand of combined-continuous etching-rolling unit with additional reduction, which exceeds reduction on the basic length of strip for ∆h/H=7…20 % (∆h- additional reduction area of a weld, H - thickness of the hot-rolled semi-finished rolled product on the basic length. Upstream of the continuous cold rolling mill additional enlargement of rolls is carried out by butt welding the adjacent strips at leading-in rolling speed.
