Abstract
A mechanism for coke dry quenching contains vertical body with charging and discharging orifices, fore-hearth and quenching chamber, peripheral gas distributor for supply of cooling gas disposed in the lower part of body walls, and central gas distributor with pipe for delivery of cooling gas disposed in the lower part of body along the vertical axis thereof, made in the form of outer and inner truncated cones. Truncated cones of central gas distributor are installed with tops against coke flow movement , walls of outer and inner cones are disposed one against another forming cavity between them extending downwards. At that pipe delivering cooling gas is connected with inner cone, above upper orifice of latter there is disposed streamline head with a gap sufficient for outlet of cooling gas and disposed in the cavity being expanded downwards with gap a relative to wall and outer cone upper orifice.
