Abstract

The method for the surgical treatment of the deforming arthrosis of the first metatarsophalangeal joint in the early stages comprises dissecting the soft tissues surrounding the joint, dissecting the articular capsule, removing the outgrown bone and cartilaginous tissue, modeling the articular surface of the head of the first metatarsal bone. The tendons of the abductor and adductor of the great toe as well as the tendon of the long flexor of the great toe are extended.
