A method for the controlled treatment of Alzheimer disease type I with Pyoglitason in insulin resistant patients provides for long-term use of Pyoglitason at a dose of 15 mg daily in the patients with the early stage of Alzheimer disease type I and diabetes mellitus type 2 or increased C-peptide blood content.
