Plough-ram installation includes drive and bypass stations, traction chain with working and idle branches connected to drive and bypass stations, ram arranged as body that includes bottom section as plane with which it slides by floor of the face, ceiling section with which it is in contact with ceiling of face, face section at side of the face pit where cutters are fixed, goaf section at side of worked-out space, fixed on working branch of traction chain and connected to idle branch of traction chain by means of guide long channel in the body of the ram, through that one idle branch of traction chain goes. Besides that ceiling part of the ram is made skewed in direction from face section to goaf section of the ram, goaf section of the ram is made in streamlined shape in horizontal cross section of the body, and guide long channel for idle branch of traction chain is arranged in the face part of the body of the ram.
