Abstract
A method for the prediction of fracture healing involves clinical examination, roentgenography. In addition levels of osteocalcin and C-terminal propeptide of type I collagen (CICP) are determined in patient blood serum. Fracture healing is predicted at osteocalcin level of 17.2-38.0 ng/ml, CICP level of 102-108 ng/ml.
