Abstract
The method for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke comprises the basic therapy supplemented with Corvitin 10.5 g per treatment course and Ceraxon 1000 mg for 10 days according to the following schedule: The initial dose (0.5 g) of Corvitin is administered immediately after hospitalization and repeated in 2 and 12 hours; since Day 2 through Day 10, the drug is administered at a dose 0.5 g twice a day; the unit dose of 0.5 g is diluted in 50 mL of physiologic saline and administered intravenously dropwise for 15-20 minutes. Ceraxon (4 mL) is also administered since the first day of the treatment intravenously dropwise in 200 mL of physiologic saline. Since Day 11, the chewable tablets of Quertin are prescribed at a dose one tablet thrice a day for one month.
