Abstract

A floor-standing pump with a pedal capable of storing items comprises: a base; at least one pedal located on at least one side of the base; a cylinder body, the bottom end of which is mounted on the base; a piston rod and a piston mounted in the cylinder body, the piston being capable of compressing the gas in the cylinder body; at least one storage chamber disposed in the at least one pedal, the storage chamber having an opening; and at least one cover body disposed on the at least one pedal, which can be opened to cover the opening of the at least one storage chamber. In this way, the pump can store items, and inflatable tools and tire repair tools can be stored in the pedal of the pump.

Floor-standing pump with pedal storage

This creation is related to an air pump, specifically, a floor-standing air pump whose pedal is designed to store items.

An air pump is a common inflation device in households that can be used to inflate bicycle tires or ball sports equipment such as basketballs, volleyballs, or yoga balls.

To inflate different objects, you need to connect the appropriate inflation connector to the inflation nozzle of the air pump. For example, when inflating different types of balls, you need to use different types of ball needles or inflation needles.

Bicycle tires are often punctured by foreign objects. Therefore, users often need to repair the tire hole with tire repair items such as tire strips or tire patches before inflating the bicycle tire.

The conventional air pump only has the function of inflating. The aforementioned air-inflating connector or tire-repairing item is placed separately from the air pump. After a long time, it is easy to forget where the air-inflating connector or tire-repairing item is placed. Moreover, the volume of these items is not large, so it is difficult to find them. This invention aims to solve the above-mentioned shortcomings. Its main purpose is to provide a floor-standing pump, especially a pump with a pedal that can store items, so that the pump has a storage function to store and facilitate the use of inflation tools or tire repair tools.

The pedal-storage floor-standing pump provided by this invention comprises: a base; at least one pedal, located on at least one side of the base; a cylinder body, the interior of which is a gas space, the bottom end of the cylinder body is installed on the base; a piston rod and a piston, installed in the gas space of the cylinder body, the piston can compress the gas in the gas space; at least one storage chamber, arranged in the at least one pedal, the storage chamber has an opening; at least one cover body, arranged on the at least one pedal, can openably cover the opening of the at least one storage chamber.

In this way, inflation tools such as ball needles and inflation needles, and tire repair tools such as tire repair sheets, tire repair glue, and tire digging rods can be stored in the storage room of the pedal of the pump, so that the pump has a storage function and the inflation tools and tire repair tools are easy to store, find, and use.

Preferably, the cover is pivoted on the pedal so that the cover can be rotated to open or close the storage chamber.

Preferably, one end of the cover is a pivot end, and the pivot end is pivotally connected to the pedal so as to be rotatable, and the cover can cover or open the storage room when it is rotated.

Preferably, the other end of the cover is a buckle end, and the pedal is provided with a buckle portion; when the cover covers the storage chamber, the buckle end buckles the buckle portion.

Preferably, the pedal is provided with a hinge hole and the buckle portion at one end of the storage chamber and the wall surface at the opposite end thereof; the hinge end of the cover is provided with a hinge portion, the buckle end of the hinge end is provided with a hook, the hinge portion is hinged to the hinge hole; the hook is buckled with the buckle portion.

Preferably, the storage chamber has an inner end and an outer end; the hinge is located at the inner end of the storage chamber; and the buckle is located at the outer end of the storage chamber.

Preferably, at least one wall of the storage chamber is provided with at least one recessed hole. Thus, when an item is stored in the storage chamber, one end of the item can be inserted into the recessed hole, so that the item is positioned and cannot be easily moved.

Preferably, the storage chamber has a long axis, forming a longer direction; the at least one recessed hole is provided on the wall surface of the storage chamber in the long axis direction. Thus, the storage chamber is suitable for storing long objects, and one end of the long object is inserted into the recessed hole.

Preferably, the storage chamber is recessed inward from the top surface of the pedal; the opening is located at the top surface of the pedal.

Preferably, each side of the base has a pedal, and each pedal has a storage chamber; the two covers are respectively disposed on the two pedals. In this way, both pedals can store items.

Preferably, when the cover covers the storage chamber, its top surface is flush with the top surface of the pedal.

Figure 1 is a three-dimensional diagram of a floor-standing air pump of a preferred embodiment of this invention.

Please refer to Figures 1 to 3, which are a floor-standing air pump 10 (referred to as the air pump for short) provided in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the pedal of which is designed to have a storage function, and the air pump 10 includes the following components.

A base 20; a cylinder 22, disposed on the top of the base and protruding upward; please refer to Figure 5, the cylinder 22 is hollow for installing the cylinder and the air pipe. At least one pedal 30 and at least one cover 40 are disposed on at least one side of the base 20. In the preferred embodiment, the base 20 is a symmetrical structure on the left and right sides, each of which has a pedal 30 and a cover 40. The two pedals 30 and the two covers 40 have the same structure, and the following only uses one pedal 30 and one cover 40 for explanation.

A storage chamber 32 is recessed on a surface of each pedal 30 to accommodate items. In this embodiment, the storage chamber 32 is rectangular and has an opening 34. Each cover 40 is detachably mounted on each pedal 30 and covers the opening 34 to close the storage chamber 32.

In this embodiment, the storage chamber 32 is recessed inward from the top surface of the pedal 30, and the opening 34 is located on the top surface of the pedal 30. The storage chamber 32 has an inner end and an outer end, and at least one recessed hole 35, as shown in Figures 3 and 5, is provided on a wall of the storage chamber 32. This embodiment has two recessed holes 35, which are provided on the wall surface of the inner end of the storage chamber 32.

The cover 40 is buckled on the pedal 30 to cover the storage chamber 32. When the buckle is unfastened, the cover 40 can be opened to open the storage chamber 32. In this embodiment, the cover 40 is pivoted on the pedal 30. Please refer to Figure 3. One end of the cover 40 is a pivot end 41. The two side walls of the pivot end 41 are each convexly provided with a pivot part 42. The two pivot parts 42 are located on the same axis; the other end of the cover 40 is a buckle end, which is provided with a hook 44. As shown in Figure 5, the hook 44 extends downward from the buckle end.

The pedal 30 is provided with a hinge 36 and a buckle portion 38 at one end of the storage chamber 32 and at the wall surface of the opposite end thereof. In this embodiment, the storage chamber 32 is provided with two hinges 36 at the two side walls at the inner end, and a buckle portion 38 is provided at the wall surface at the outer end. The hinge portion 42 of the cover body 40 is hinged to the hinge 36 of the storage chamber 32, so that the cover body 40 can rotate with its hinge portion as a rotation fulcrum, and can open or cover the opening 34 of the storage chamber 32. When the cover 40 covers the storage chamber 32, the hook 44 buckles the buckle portion 38, and the top surface of the cover 40 is flush with the top surface of the pedal 30, which will not affect the user's foot stepping on the pedal 30.

Please refer to Figures 1 and 5, a hollow cylinder 50, the interior of which is a gas space 52, as shown in Figure 5; the bottom end of the cylinder 50 is installed in the barrel 22 of the base 20.

A piston rod 60; a piston 62, disposed at the bottom end of the piston rod 60; the bottom end of the piston rod 60 and the piston 62 are installed in the gas space 52 of the cylinder body 50. A cylinder cover 64 is disposed at the top end of the cylinder body 50. The top end of the piston rod 60 passes through the cylinder cover 64. A handle 66 is installed at the top end of the piston rod 60. Holding the handle 66 can move the piston rod 60 and the piston 62 up and down, so that the piston 62 compresses the gas in the gas space 52.

An air pipe 70, one end of which is mounted on the barrel 22 of the base 20, and is connected to the cylinder 50 through an air flow channel (not shown) provided in the base. An air nozzle connector 72 is provided at the other end of the air pipe 70 for connecting the air nozzle of the tire, or an air filling connector. The compressed gas in the cylinder 50 will flow from the air flow channel to the air pipe 70 to be injected into the inflated object. FIG. 5 only shows a partial structure of the cylinder 50, the piston rod 60 and the piston 62. The cylinder 50, the piston rod 60, the piston 62, the air pipe 70 and the air nozzle connector 72 are not the main subject of this invention, and their structures are not described in detail.

Please refer to Figures 2 to 5. The storage chamber 32 of the two pedals 30 of the pump 10 can accommodate a number of inflation tools, such as, but not limited to, different types of ball needles 80 and 82, tire repair pieces 84, tire repair glue 86, and two tire digging rods 88.

When the pump 10 is not in use, the ball needles 80, 82, tire repair sheet 84, tire repair glue 86 and tire digging rod 88 can be stored in the storage chamber 32 of the two pedals 30. Please refer to FIG3, the storage chamber 32 is rectangular, has a long axis and a short axis, and the storage chamber 32 is longer in the long axis, suitable for storing long objects; in this embodiment, the two concave holes 35 are set on a wall surface in the long axis direction of the storage chamber 32, so that when the elongated tire digging rod 88 is stored in the storage chamber 32, one end of the elongated tire digging rod 88 can be extended into the concave hole 35, so that the two tire digging rods 88 are restrained by the two concave holes 35 and will not roll or move in the storage chamber 32 at will. FIG3 shows a storage method of this embodiment. The two tire digging rods 88 are stored together with the ball needles 80 and 82 in a storage chamber 32. The two tire digging rods 88 are positioned by the two concave holes 35, and the ball needles 80 and 82 are stored in the gap between the two tire digging rods 88. In this way, the tools are neatly and compactly stored in the storage chamber. After the inflation tool and the tire repair tool are stored, the cover 40 is covered so that the hook 44 of the cover 40 is buckled with the buckle part 38 of the pedal 30, and the inflation and tire repair tools are stored in the pedal 30. Long objects other than tire digging rods can also be restrained by the concave holes 35.

When inflating an object or tire, release the buckle 44 and the buckle 38, open the two covers 40, and select a suitable inflator. The two types of ball needles 80 and 82 are inflating connectors for inflating different types of balls. Connect the ball needle 80 or 82 to the air nozzle connector 72 of the air pump 10 to inflate balls such as basketballs, volleyballs, dodgeballs, and rhythm balls.

When a bicycle tire has a hole, the user can use the tire picker 88 to pick the tire out of the rim, and then use the tire repair sheet 84 and tire repair glue 86 to repair the tire. After repairing, the tire valve is covered with the valve connector 72, and the tire is inflated with the pump 10.

When inflating, the two covers 40 can be covered, and the user's feet can step on the pedal 30 to facilitate the operation of the pump 10. After inflation is completed, the inflatable device is returned to the storage chamber 32, and the cover 40 is covered to close the storage chamber.

The air pump provided by this creation is designed with a storage function, which can store and store the inflation tools and tire repair tools needed to inflate various items. The inflation tools and tire repair tools are stored in the pedal of the air pump, which can save storage space. At the same time, the inflation tools and tire repair tools are stored together with the air pump, so there will be no problem of finding the inflation tools and tire repair tools.

For example, the hinge end of the cover can be set as a hinge that can rotate and move on the pedal, so that it can cover and open the storage room. A floor-standing pump with a pedal for storing items, comprising: a base; at least one pedal, located on at least one side of the base; a hollow cylinder, the interior of which is a gas space, the bottom end of the cylinder is mounted on the base; a piston rod; a piston, disposed at the bottom end of the piston rod; the piston and the bottom end of the piston rod are mounted in the gas space of the cylinder, and the piston can compress the gas in the gas space; at least one storage chamber, disposed in the at least one pedal, the storage chamber having an opening; at least one cover, disposed on the at least one pedal, which can openably cover the opening of the at least one storage chamber. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 1, wherein one end of the cover is pivotally connected to the pedal, and the cover covers or opens the storage chamber in a rotating manner. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 1, wherein one end of the cover body is a pivot end, and the pivot end is pivotally connected to the pedal and can be rotated to cover or open the storage chamber. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 3, wherein: the other end of the cover is a buckle end; the pedal is provided with a buckle portion; when the cover covers the storage chamber, its buckle end buckles the buckle portion. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 4, wherein: the pedal is provided with a hinge and the buckle portion at one end of the storage chamber and the wall surface at the opposite end thereof respectively; the hinge end of the cover body is provided with a hinge portion, and the buckle end thereof is provided with a hook, and the hinge portion is hinged to the hinge hole; the hook is buckled with the buckle portion. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 5, wherein: the storage chamber has an inner end and an outer end; the hinge is located at the inner end of the storage chamber; and the buckle is located at the outer end of the storage chamber. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 1, wherein: at least one wall of the storage chamber is provided with at least one recessed hole. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 7, wherein: the storage chamber has a long axis; and the at least one recessed hole is disposed on the wall of the storage chamber in the direction of the long axis. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 1, wherein: the storage chamber is recessed inward from the top surface of the pedal; and the opening is located on the top surface of the pedal. A floor-standing air pump as described in claim 9, wherein: when the cover covers the storage chamber, the top surface of the cover is flush with the top surface of the pedal.
