Abstract

Description

External Voice Switchboard System

The present invention relates to a telephone communication system; in particular, it relates to an external voice switchboard system connected to a dedicated switch.

A traditional private branch exchange (PBX) is connected to a public switched telephone network (PSTN), and the private branch exchange is connected to multiple telephones, which can communicate with each other through the private branch exchange, i.e., internal calls. Each telephone can dial to the public switched telephone network through the private branch exchange, or the private branch exchange can transfer incoming calls from the public switched telephone network to a specific telephone, i.e., external calls.

When the private exchange receives an incoming call from the public switched telephone network, it will establish a call connection and play a voice message of a welcome word, asking the caller to enter an extension number. The caller must enter the extension number on his or her calling device so that the private exchange can transfer the call. For a traditional telephone, the caller can enter the extension number by simply pressing the physical numeric keys on the phone. However, when the caller's calling device is a smart phone, the caller must operate the touch screen of the smart phone to display the key interface, and then click on the numeric image on the key interface to enter the extension number, which is very inconvenient.

With the advancement of technology, dedicated switches with the function of identifying incoming voice calls have been launched on the market. However, dedicated switches with the function of identifying incoming voice calls are expensive. For owners of traditional dedicated switches, it will cost a considerable amount of money to replace the original dedicated switches.

In view of this, the purpose of the present invention is to provide an external voice switchboard system that can be connected to a traditional dedicated switch, provide a voice recognition function, and transfer incoming calls to a specific extension number.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides an external voice switchboard system for connecting to a private switchboard, wherein the private switchboard is used to connect to a public switched telephone network, the private switchboard has a plurality of telephone connection ports, the telephone connection ports include a plurality of first telephone connection ports and a second telephone connection port, each of the first telephone connection ports is used to connect to a telephone; the private switchboard transfers an incoming call signal from the public switched telephone network to the second telephone connection port; the external voice switchboard system comprises a telecommunication connection port and a processing device, wherein the telecommunication connection port is connected to the second telephone connection port; the processing device The device is electrically connected to the telecommunication connection port and connected to the second telephone connection port through the telecommunication connection port. The effect of the present invention is that the external voice switchboard system can be connected to the telephone connection port of the dedicated switch through the telecommunication connection port, without replacing the dedicated switch, and the voice recognition function can be added to the dedicated switch to recognize the incoming call voice and control the dedicated switch to transfer the incoming call to the corresponding extension number.

In order to explain the present invention more clearly, a preferred embodiment is given and described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG1 is a connection diagram of an external voice switchboard system 10 of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, which is used to be externally connected to a private switch 20. The private switch 20 is used to connect to a public switched telephone network 30, and the private switch 20 has a plurality of telephone connection ports 21, each of which corresponds to an extension number. The telephone connection ports 21 include a plurality of first telephone connection ports 211 and a second telephone connection port 212. Each of the first telephone connection ports 211 is used to connect to a telephone 40. The private switch 20 connects the telephones 40 and the public switched telephone network 30. The telephones 40 can establish internal calls to each other, and each of the telephones 40 can also connect to the public switched telephone network 30 through the private switch 20 to conduct external calls.

The external voice switchboard system 10 includes a telecommunication connection port 11, a processing device 12, a network connection port 14 and a database 13, wherein the telecommunication connection port 11 is used to connect to the second telephone connection port 212 of the private switch 20, for example, using a telephone line connection. The private switch 20 transfers an incoming call signal from the public switched telephone network 30 to the second telephone connection port 212, allowing the external voice switchboard system 10 to receive the incoming call signal. The external voice switchboard system 10 can also establish an intercommunication internal telephone connection with the telephones 40.

Please refer to FIG. 2 , the processing device 12 is electrically connected to the telecommunication port 11 and is electrically connected to the second telephone port 212 through the telecommunication port 11, so that the dedicated switch 20 can transmit the incoming call signal to the processing device 12. In this embodiment, the dedicated switch 20 is analog, and the received/sent signal is an analog signal, and the processing device 12 is digital, and the received/sent signal is a digital signal. Therefore, a signal converter 12a is further provided between the processing device 12 and the telecommunication port 11, and the processing device 12 is electrically connected to the telecommunication port 11 through the signal converter 12a. The signal converter 12a is used to convert the analog signal from the dedicated switch 20 into a corresponding digital signal and transmit it to the processing device 12, or to convert the digital signal from the processing device 12 into a corresponding analog signal and transmit it to the dedicated switch 20. In one embodiment, the signal converter 12a can also be integrated into the processing device 12, so that the processing device 12 has the function of converting between analog signals and digital signals. In one embodiment, when the dedicated switch 20 is digital, the signal converter 12a can be omitted, and the processing device 12 is directly electrically connected to the telecommunication port 11.

The processing device 12 is further electrically connected to the network port 14 and the database 13. The network port 14 is connected to at least one external electronic device 60 via a network 50. The network 50 may be, for example, a local area network or the Internet. The external electronic device 60 may include, but is not limited to, a mobile device such as a mobile phone or a tablet computer that has a network connection function. The external electronic device 60 may be used as a telephone later. In one embodiment, if the external electronic device 60 does not need to be connected, the network port 14 may be omitted.

The database 13 is used to store a plurality of communication data, for example, each communication data may be the communication data of each employee of the company, each communication data includes information related to each employee, and each communication data includes a main data and an auxiliary data. The main data includes: name (surname and first name) and extension number; the auxiliary data includes: department, job title, gender, gender name, etc., etc., or a combination of at least one or more. In this embodiment, the database 13 uses a non-volatile memory as a medium for storing data, such as a hard drive, a memory card, etc., but in practice, a cloud storage space connected to the network 50 can also be used as the database 13.

The processing device 12 includes an Internet phone exchange module 123 and a voice processing module 121. The processing device 12 can be a processor. The Internet phone exchange module 123 and the voice processing module 121 are software modules in this embodiment, but are not limited thereto and can also be hardware modules. The Internet phone exchange module 123 is signal-connected to the telecommunication port 11 and the network port 14, and the Internet phone exchange module 123 is connected to the voice processing module 121. In this embodiment, the Internet phone exchange module 123 is signal-connected to the telecommunication port 11 through the signal converter 12a.

The voice processing module 121 is used to process the voice of the incoming call and generate and output the corresponding voice. More specifically, the voice processing module 121 includes a dialogue management unit 121a, a voice recognition unit 121b, a natural language understanding unit 121c and a voice synthesis unit 121d. The dialogue management unit 121a is connected to the voice recognition unit 121b, the natural language understanding unit 121c and the voice synthesis unit 121d.

In addition, the aforementioned Internet phone exchange module 123 may also be integrated into the conversation management unit 121a in other embodiments, and the conversation management unit 121a having the Internet phone exchange module 123 is signal-connected to the network connection port 14, and is signal-connected to the telecommunication connection port 11 through the signal converter 12a.

The dialogue management unit 121a of the voice processing module 121 is connected to the database 13 to access the communication data in the database 13.

A caller dials the private switch 20 through the public switched telephone network 30. After the private switch 20 receives the incoming call signal from the public switched telephone network 30, the private switch 20 transfers the incoming call signal to the external voice switchboard system 10 according to the extension number of the second telephone connection port 212. The incoming call signal output from the second telephone connection port 212 is input to the telecommunication connection port 11 of the external voice switchboard system 10, and the incoming call signal is converted from an analog signal to a digital signal through the signal converter 12a and transmitted to the processing device 12.

Step S11: The processing device 12 establishes a first call connection according to the incoming call signal. In this embodiment, the Internet phone exchange module 123 transmits the incoming call signal to the voice processing module 121, and the dialogue management unit 121a of the voice processing module 121 establishes the first call connection. The dialogue management unit 121a generates a text of a welcome word and transmits it to the speech synthesis unit 121d. The speech synthesis unit 121d generates the corresponding speech of the welcome word according to the text of the welcome word, wherein the text of the welcome word can be set by the user according to the needs. The conversation management unit 121a transmits the voice of the welcome word to the network telephone exchange module 123, and then the voice of the welcome word is converted into a corresponding analog signal through the signal converter 12a, and transmitted to the public switched telephone network 30 through the dedicated switch 20, thereby playing the voice of the welcome word to the caller in the first call connection. The text and voice of the welcome word can, for example, require the caller to speak a call target information, such as "Hello, please speak the name of the person you are looking for or related information." After hearing the voice of the welcome word, the caller speaks the call target information to form an incoming call voice in the first call connection, and the incoming call voice can have the call target information. For example, the call target information includes one or more search conditions, and the one or more search conditions may be, for example, a combination of at least one or more of an extension number, a name, a surname, a given name, a department, a job title, and a gender.

Step S12: The incoming voice in the first call connection is transmitted to the processing device 12, and the voice processing module 121 of the processing device 12 recognizes the call destination information according to the incoming voice in the first call connection and searches at least one communication data corresponding to the call destination information from the database 13 according to the call destination information. In this embodiment, the dialogue management unit 121a receives the incoming voice and transmits the incoming voice to the voice recognition unit 121b. The voice recognition unit 121b converts the incoming voice into an incoming text and transmits it to the dialogue management unit 121a, and then the dialogue management unit 121a transmits the incoming text to the natural language understanding unit 121c. The natural language understanding unit 121c analyzes the incoming call text and determines whether the incoming call text contains one or more search conditions with the call target information. If so, the call target information is transmitted to the dialogue management unit 121a. The dialogue management unit 121a searches for at least one communication data corresponding to the call target information from the database 13 according to the call target information. If the natural language understanding unit 121c cannot determine the target information from the incoming call text, the dialogue management unit 121a generates a reply text, such as "Please repeat the name of the person you are looking for or related information", and generates a reply voice corresponding to the reply text through the speech synthesis unit 121d and transmits it to the network telephone exchange module 123, and plays the reply voice in the first call connection to request the caller to repeat the target information to form a new incoming call voice.

Step S13: When the conversation management unit 121a of the processing device 12 searches the database 13 for one communication data corresponding to the call target information, that is, the number of extension numbers is one, the processing device 12 transmits a holding signal and a dialing signal corresponding to the extension number to the private switch 20 through the telecommunication connection port 11, so as to request the private switch 20 to transfer the incoming call signal to the telephone 40 of the first telephone connection port 211 corresponding to the extension number. For example, the holding signal may be a hook or flash hook, and the dialing signal may be a dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) dialing signal.

More specifically, when the communication data searched is one, the dialogue management unit 121a generates and transmits a transfer response text according to the communication data, and generates a corresponding voice through the voice synthesis unit 121d to play the transfer response voice in the first call connection, and the transfer response voice is used to inform the caller that the transfer is being performed. In addition, the dialogue management unit 121a enables the network telephone exchange module 123 to generate the hold signal and the dial signal corresponding to the extension number, and transmits the hold signal and the dial signal to the dedicated switch 20 via the signal converter 12a and the telecommunication connection port 11. After receiving the hold signal, the private exchange 20 reserves the first call connection and dials the extension number according to the dial signal.

Step S14: When the processing device 12 determines that the private exchange 20 establishes a second call connection corresponding to the extension number, the processing device 12 disconnects the first call connection.

In this embodiment, after the processing device 12 transmits the hold signal and the dial signal, the dedicated exchange 20 transmits a response sound signal to the processing device 12 via the second telephone connection port 212 during the process of transferring the extension number. When the processing device 12 determines that a ring tone in the response sound signal is not a busy tone, it further determines whether a sound intensity of the response sound signal is greater than a threshold, wherein the sound intensity of the ring tone and the busy tone is less than the threshold. If the sound intensity is greater than the threshold, it means that the microphone of the telephone 40 has been picked up by a user and the user has made a sound so that the sound intensity is greater than the threshold. Therefore, the processing device 12 determines that the private switch 20 has established the second call connection corresponding to the extension number, and the processing device 12 disconnects the first call connection. In this way, the private switch 20 can transfer the caller's call to the telephone 40 corresponding to the extension number.

When the processing device 12 determines that the response sound signal is the busy tone, it means that the telephone 40 corresponding to the extension number is busy. The voice processing module 121 plays a busy prompt voice in the first call connection, such as "extension busy".

In addition to determining whether to establish the second call connection based on the sound intensity in the response sound signal, the processing device 12 may also determine that the private switch 20 has established the second call connection corresponding to the extension number when the response sound signal from the private switch 20 is not detected within a predetermined time period (e.g., 5 seconds) after transmitting the hold signal and the dial signal. For example, when the phone 40 rings, the user immediately picks up the receiver and does not make any sound. At this time, the private switch 20 has not yet generated the response sound signal, but has established a second call connection. In this case, the processing device 12 does not detect the response sound signal within the predetermined time period. Therefore, the processing device 12 determines that the private switch 20 has established the second call connection corresponding to the extension number after the predetermined time period ends.

In the above, the processing device 12 may determine the response sound signal by the dialogue management unit 121a of the voice processing module 121, or the voice processing module 121 may further include a sound signal processing unit dedicated to determining the response sound signal.

Optionally, the processing device 12 may play a voice prompt of an incoming call, such as "your call is coming", in the second call connection, and then disconnect the first call connection.

At least one of the communication data stored in the database 13 further includes a communication account, the communication account corresponds to the external electronic device 60, and the communication account is used for the processing device 12 to connect to the external electronic device 60 through the network 50. In practice, multiple communication data may each have a communication account, and the communication accounts may each correspond to multiple external electronic devices 60. In the above step S13, when the conversation management unit 121a of the processing device 12 searches the database 13 for one communication data corresponding to the call target information, and the communication data includes the communication account, the processing device 12 not only transmits the hold signal and the dial signal corresponding to the extension number to the dedicated switch 20 through the telecommunication connection port 11, but also connects to the network 50 through the network connection port 14 and transmits a call request signal to the external electronic device 60 corresponding to the communication account to notify the external electronic device 60 that there is an incoming call. When the processing device 12 determines that the private exchange 20 has established the second call connection, the processing device 12 stops sending the call request signal to the external electronic device 60 and disconnects the first call connection, thereby allowing the user to answer the call on the phone 40. When the processing device 12 determines that the private exchange 20 has not established the second call connection and the external electronic device 60 responds to the call request signal, the processing device 12 transfers the first call connection to the external electronic device 60, which is equivalent to using the external electronic device 60 as an extension, and the user of the external electronic device 60 can talk to the caller. When the user of the external electronic device 60 picks up the call, the external electronic device 60 responds to the call request signal, and the processing device 12 again transmits the hold signal to the private switch 20, so that the private switch 20 cancels the forwarding and stops the phone 40 corresponding to the communication account from ringing.

In the aforementioned step S12: when the conversation management unit 121a of the processing device 12 does not search the communication data corresponding to the call target information from the database 13, a switchboard transfer step is performed, and the switchboard transfer step includes: the network telephone exchange module 123 generates the hold signal and another dial signal corresponding to a default extension number, and the hold signal and the other dial signal are transmitted to the private switch 20 via the signal converter 12a and the telecommunications connection port 11 to request the private switch 20 to transfer the incoming call signal to the telephone 40 of the first telephone connection port 211 corresponding to the default extension number. In this embodiment, the default extension number can be an extension number of a switchboard. When the processing device 12 determines that the private exchange 20 has established a third call connection corresponding to the preset extension number, the processing device 12 disconnects the first call connection, so that the user of the telephone 40 corresponding to the preset extension number can talk to the caller. The processing device 12 determines whether the third call connection has been established in the same way as the determination of whether the second call connection has been established in the above step S14, and will not be repeated here.

Optionally, when the conversation management unit 121a does not search for the communication data corresponding to the call target information, the conversation management unit 121a can confirm whether it is the first search. If it is the first search, the conversation management unit 121a generates the reply text as in the above step S12, and generates the corresponding reply voice through the voice synthesis unit 121d and transmits it to the network telephone exchange module 123, so as to play the reply voice in the first call connection, so as to require the caller to re-speak the call target information to form a new call voice. Next, the dialogue management unit 121a receives the other incoming voice and transmits the other incoming voice to the voice recognition unit 121b. The voice recognition unit 121b recognizes the other incoming voice and converts it into another incoming text and transmits it to the dialogue management unit 121a. In step S13', when the conversation management unit 121a compares the auxiliary data and finds that it does not meet the other search condition of the call target information, the conversation management unit 121a generates a reply text, such as "Please say the name of the person you are looking for or related information again", and generates a reply voice corresponding to the reply text through the speech synthesis unit 121d and transmits it to the network telephone exchange module 123, so as to play the reply voice in the first call connection to request the caller to say the call target information again to form a new incoming call voice.

Optionally, the dialogue management unit 121a can confirm whether it is the first search. If it is the first search, the dialogue management unit 121a generates the reply text as in the above step S13', and generates the corresponding reply voice through the voice synthesis unit 121d and transmits it to the network telephone exchange module 123, so as to play the reply voice in the first call connection to require the caller to re-speak the call target information to form a new call voice. Then, steps S12 to S14 can be performed again. If it is not the first search, the switchboard transfer step in the first embodiment is performed.

As described above, the external voice switchboard system 10 of the present invention can be externally connected to the traditional dedicated switch 20, and then provide the functions of voice recognition and voice reply through the voice processing module 121 of the processing device 12. In this way, the purpose of transferring the caller's voice to a specific extension number can be achieved without replacing the dedicated switch 20, thereby improving the inconvenience caused by the caller having to operate the touch screen of the smart phone when the caller's calling device is a smart phone, and improving the problem of high cost expenditure caused by replacing the original dedicated switch.
