Abstract

A driving safety system for controlling a vehicle includes a detector, a gateway unit and a battery management system. The detector is disposed on a steering wheel for detecting a hand of a driver, determining whether a dangerous situation has occurred accordingly, and sending detection data when the dangerous situation has occurred. The gateway unit is linked to the detector for receiving the detection data to generate a warning signal when the dangerous situation has occurred. The battery management system is linked to the gateway unit, and coupled to a battery for receiving the warning signal and generating a control signal accordingly to reduce output power of the battery to reduce the speed of the vehicle.
