Abstract

A material composition comprising: (1) a polysaccharide, modified polysaccharide or natural-occurring fiber or granular filler; and (2) 1 to 99 weight percent (based on the weight of the composition) of a thermoplastic hydroxy-functional polyether of the following formula (I), (II) or (III): (a) formula (I), in which R1 is a divalent organic moiety essentially consisting of alkylene; R3 is (group) or (group); R4 is (group) or (group); in which R2 and R6 separately are divalent organic moieties essentially consisting of hydroxy, R5 is hydrogen or alkyl; and n is 0 to 100; (b) the formula (II), in which A is an amine moiety or a combination of different amine moieties; B is a divalent organic moiety essentially consisting of alkylene; R5 is alkyl or hydrogen; and m is an integer of 10 to 1000; or (c) the formula (III), in which B is a divalent organic moiety essentially consisting of alkylene; R5 is alkyl or hydrogen; and m is an integer of 10 to 1000.
