A lid for covering the open upper end of a beverage container including a lid body and a pull cap being both made of thermoplastic resin material, the lid body having an opening for discharging contents from the container, and the pull cap having a cap portion adapted to reclose the opening in the lid body and a pull tab portion integrally formed with the cap portion, the opening in the lid body covered with a gas-barrier film sealed to the lower surface of the lid body, the cap portion sealed to the gas-barrier film and a clearance provided between the periphery of the opening in the lid body and the outer periphery of the cap portion.
