Abstract

A safety device for mechanical parking device, which mainly comprises a pallet for automobile, and a sliding device which maintains the pallet at a rotable and slidable state; which is characterized in comprising: a first photo-electrical detection device of first detection-use optical axis which projects at angle defined by the longitudinal direction of the bumper of the automobile inclining to the front-and-rear direction of the automobile; a second photo-electrical detection device of second detection-use optical axis which is related to the front end or rear end passing the possible rotation axis of the automobile's entering direction or slightly inner side of this position; an alarm device, which uses the detected possible rotation radius of the protrusion of the automobile loaded on the pallet by the first photo-electrical detection device, i.e., one part of the automobile detected by at least one of the first and second photo-electrical detection devices to send out alarm; in which the first-detection-use optical axis is approximately passing the upper end of the bumper and is nearly parallel to the longitudinal direction of the bumper so as to pass the intersection between the possible rotation radius of the automobile and the extension line of the automobile side or a slightly inner point on the inside.
