Abstract
Disclosed is a method for preparing a phosphor, and the formula of the phosphor is M2ZF6:Mn<SP>4+</SP>, wherein M is an alkali metal element selected from sodium or potassium; Z is a tetravalent element selected from silicon or titanium. The method for preparing the phosphor including: (a) providing a first solution containing a fluoride of the tetravalent element Z and a manganese compound selected from Na2MnF6 or K2MnF6; (b) providing a compound including alkali metal M, wherein the compound is selected from sulfate, carbonate, nitrate, hydroxide, fluoride or hydroxyfluoride; (c) mixing the first solution and the compound including alkali metal M to obtain a precipitation; (d) adding acetone to the first solution after step (c); and (e) collecting the precipitation after step (d).
