Description

Technical excipients for use in breeding and breeding feeds and supplements for animal husbandry

The present invention relates to a raw material for use as an auxiliary material in the breeding and breeding feed and supplement formulations of the animal husbandry. For the sake of brevity and conciseness, this excipient is commensurate with the abbreviation FIVE TEC.

Plant fiber is an essential component of the dietary behavior of livestock breeding and farming (bovine, pig, sheep, poultry), and thus for certain specific categories (eg, white meat, still weaned calves), dietary and plant smudges The integration is a legal obligation (EU regulations).

Plant fiber is an important source of nutrients (even necessary for ruminants).

Fiber is a set of constituent elements used to indicate plant cell walls, or sometimes used to indicate a group of fiber-rich foods.

Therefore, fibers are a group of structural polysaccharides found in plant foods. It is composed of cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, and other polysaccharides.

The fiber itself is a specific composition if the content of each animal is determined according to the content of each component and the cell structure of each component.

For example, in addition to the total fiber content, the cellulose components of various foods have a variety of different structures.

Depending on the food in question, the lignin component also exhibits a very different structure and will show a composition that is light or heavy, or that is elastic (the same difference is found between poplar and walnut).

To date, all academic literature and animal husbandry practice have treated plant fibers as a dietary component, and it is believed that only the cellulose and hemicellulose fractions operate through the enzyme decomposition process in the path of supplying nutrients.

Throughout the literature and practice, lignin is considered a negative or neutral element. "It is indigestible because it has a skin on its own wall, which reduces the digestibility of other components."

Lignin is neither a polysaccharide nor a saccharin. It is a mixture of aromatic polymers derived from certain precursors, which in turn is a substance that is part of the plant cell wall.

In short, throughout the livestock industry, the fibers evaluated, analyzed, researched, used and supplied are always only parts of cellulose and hemicellulose.

What is sought and considered is always a fiber with a high cellulose content and a low lignin content.

In this connection (livestock feed), FIVE TEC represents an innovative and revolutionary plant fiber that can be used in animal husbandry.

The main elements of this innovation/invention are:

1)FIVE TEC的組成 1) Composition of FIVE TEC

In the livestock industry, it is the first time to use and value the lignin component of plant fibers, not the cellulose component.

FIVE TEC contains high amounts of lignin and is much higher in content than the cellulose component. Therefore, this component, which has so far been regarded as a negative and unfavorable nutrient in dietary formulations, has now changed into a positive and innovative element.

2)FIVE TEC的用途 2) Use of FIVE TEC

FIVE TEC is a “technical excipient” that is no longer a business component of the formula.

In short, FIVE TEC for feeding does not include or modify the feed formulation used in breeding and aquaculture, but instead sets itself as an added foreign component.

3)FIVE TEC的運作 3) Operation of FIVE TEC

The plant fiber that FIVE TEC is conceived, considered and valued is no longer the effect of feeding/nutrition, but the “mechanical” effect of slowing food delivery in the digestive system.

4)FIVE TEC的配方 4) Formula of FIVE TEC

Another innovative element is the formulation of FIVE TEC, which was previously used as a major component in animal husbandry. Another specificity is the procedure and form of FIVE TEC (micronized powder).

In short, FIVE TEC's innovations are a new set of elements that have never been adopted and considered in the pastoral industry, and have revolutionized the theory and practice of the industry: fiber detection contains high amounts of "thickness ( Heavy)" lignin (usually rejected for this reason); the product uses "mechanical" use of lignin components that were previously considered to be unfavorable for nutrition; the micronized form ensures that transport can be slowed down without causing clogging, Therefore, it exerts the correct "mechanical" effect; it has the flexibility of working as a technical excipient, so that it can be incorporated into a normal dietary formula without changing the nutritional parameters.

FIVE TEC effect on animals

The positive effects of FIVE TEC on diet can be defined in three levels:

FIVE TEC's unique structure and specific gravity, as well as its ability to absorb fluids, can quickly saturate animals, thus reducing the amount of food infested by the animals and the amount of food ingested.

Effect on food digestion

FIVE TEC's unique fiber structure ensures that food transport in the animal's digestive system is slowed down. This mechanical action optimizes the animal's nutrient absorption process and thus enhances the "performance" of the animal. As a result, food that is not digested and excreted with feces is also reduced.

The technical process accepted by FIVE TEC, that is, the micronization and forced decomposition of fibers, causes the food to stick together, and the negative effects of animal constipation are avoided.

- 對食物消除(food elimination)的效果 - Effect on food elimination

After the amount of food consumed is reduced, the amount of feces discharged is also reduced.

There is also a significant change in the quality of the stool itself, with the dry part, the amount of protein, and the chemical oxygen demand (ammoniac COD) of ammonia reduced.

Thus, the FIVE TEC adjuvant is a formulation having the following composition: 1) a plant fiber mixture having a high lignin content of about 65% based on the weight of the mixture; 2) a supplemental amine group Acid; 3) other natural supplements; and 4) natural flavors and extracts.

It is presented in the form of a micronized powder having a particle size of 0.4 to 08 mm (400-800 microns). It has a long shelf life, no preservatives or dyes, and no toxicity. In terms of the expected variability in the chart, various specific formulations can be planned depending on the scope of use. The following formulas have been formulated: sows and fattening swine; piglets under 18 kg; calves; cattle; poultry.

In these formulations, the number of specific components of each of the four basic types of components can be varied. So, for example, depending on the seasonal availability of the raw materials, the shells and cores of certain fruits in the chart can be used.

1. The following table is an excerpt from the FIVE TEC formula:

2. FIVE TEC production process

FIVE TEC fibers are in the form of micronized powders that are converted to the desired size by a special production process.

Because FIVE TEC uses off-the-shelf machines and processes, there is no special innovation in the production process.

The production process is constructed in the following stages:

- Test the incoming materials and verify that they meet the specifications.

- Weighing: - Mixing raw components; - 3 cycles of rolling and grinding to make the particles tapered; - Separating the filter; - First cold-micronization cycle, avoiding Heat changes the chemical-physical and dietary structure of the product; - separation filter; - second micronization cycle; - separation filter; - part of the specified range (more than the specified size) is returned to the cycle starting point.

3. Application testing of FIVE TEC

FIVE TEC has undergone various validation, testing, control and field testing to ensure product performance.

FIVE TEC's research and development process can be simplified to the following stages:

- Stage 1: Initial laboratory tests (contrast the dietary fiber supplied for sale, the structure and details of the test product).

- Stage 2: Perform the first preliminary test on some (very few) sample animals (verify the food intake, taste, digestibility and dose definition of the product). This phase lasts for 30 days.

- Stage 3: Laboratory tests of the results of Stage 2 (primary and subsequent blood and stool tests; verification of body parameters such as body weight and food consumption).

- Stage 4: Define the test plan in collaboration with Piacenza & Cremona Universities (Piacenza and Cremona University).

- Stage 5: Five (5) breeding grounds in Piedmont, Lombardy, and Emilia, northern Italy, were mainly pigs with a total of 287 animals (control and test) First test. This phase lasts for 78 days.

- Stage 6: Compare the control group and the test group before and after the test to analyze the test results (body parameter analysis, blood and stool test).

- Stage 7: An extended test of more than 78 days is performed on the selected two groups to test long-term effects. The tests were conducted in two different FIVE TEC formulations, labeled S1 for general sows and finishing pigs, and S2 for piglets. The focus of the test results is shown in the chart below.

4. Tests on FIVE TEC products

The FIVE TEC S1 and S2 products have completed the first experimental cycle with the following:

(JELUVET)。 - FIVE TEC laboratory test to compare the main "raw" fibers (corn core, chaff, etc.) and major fiber additives in the European market: Fibrecell M1 (KALMI); FibreCell (AGROMED); raw fiber (JELUVET) ).

- Have a few heads begin the FIVE TEC test to see if the fiber has side effects after ingestion.

- Expanded field testing involving numerous animals in five different breeding areas in Lombardy and Piedmont.

The tests were conducted between October 15 and October 30, 2011.

The following is a summary of the methods used in the test and the main results learned during the period.

5. FIVE TEC field test objectives

The purpose of the FIVE TEC field test is to verify this mechanical and systemic activity: Direct and indirect effects on the digestion process of the entire food; The effect of food passage time in the intestine and assessment of the food decomposition process; The effect of simulating and stimulating the main enzyme decomposition process in piglets (simulating the production of amylase, etc.); Effects on intestinal microbes (reducing pathogens); Evaluate surface digestibility (increased or reduced) and its food absorption.

The test assumes that the feed is mixed with FIVE TEC to ensure equal reproductive performance (animal weight gain, growth quality): - Reduced feed consumption per head; - Reduced fecal contamination load (in terms of quantity and quality).

6. Test method

Experimental field testing is based on the following experimental protocol:

The data in the chart is the arithmetic mean of the individual measurements.

7. Piglet test results

The test group fed by FIVE TEC at 250 g/inch had been shown to perform best, so we compared the results of this group with the control group.

Pigs weighing 6 to 14 kg have shown some very meaningful results after a 30-year breeding test:

- Compared to the control group, FIVE TEC reduced the food consumption of piglets by 10.5% (average daily and total consumption). This is derived from the “natural” rather than mandatory behavior of the animal, that is, the direct satiety caused by FIVE TEC.

- Growth performance is not affected by reduced food consumption. In fact, the group raised with FIVE TEC gained 8.7% during the test period. This confirms the “mechanical” effect of FIVE TEC (slow delivery) to optimize nutrient absorption.

- The combination of (decreased food consumption and increased weight) provides important economic benefits to breeders.

8. Test results for sows

Analysis of test results for sows

The 78-day test conducted on sows, the measurement made during the total of 78 days from the 31st day of pregnancy to the production period, involved a total of 87 heads.

In this case, the test results also highlighted: - Sows fed FIVE TEC, with a significant increase in the average number of weaned piglets (+5%); - Daily food for food reduced by 13.5%, equivalent It reduced by 0.7 kg per head per day, that is, the total amount of feed per head during the test period was 54.6 kg.

9. Stimulate the production of enzymes in piglets

For the very productive growth performance of piglets during the test period, one of the factors that can explain at least part of the reason is the concentration of amylase in the blood test, which is the main factor for breaking down starch into sugar. Enzyme.

In piglets that have just weaned, they will slowly lack amylase, which usually causes them to feed on chemically produced enzymes or cooked foods.

However, in this test, although the raw material was not ingested, the amylase in the blood was significantly and naturally increased in piglets fed FIVE TEC.

(IU/L) Amylase concentration (IU/L)

Tests transferred from the Microbiology Laboratory at the Università Cattolica University in Cremona.

10. FIVE TEC assessment of the effects of intestinal microbes and composition and consistency on piglet feces

Another parameter that has been included in the control and testing is the composition and consistency of piglet manure.

The purpose of this assay is to assess whether FIVE TEC can benefit from wastewater treatment in addition to facilitating feeding.

The test was transferred from the Zooprophylaxis Institute in Brescia.

The reduction of ammonia load has significantly reduced the escape of ammonia and the odor of the breeding area.

As can be appreciated from the foregoing detailed description, the technical excipients of the present invention have considerable advanced advantages over today's commercially available products. It can be known from the aspects of improving animal growth performance and reducing food consumption, the invention is beneficial to the physiology and nutrition of animals, and also brings vital environmental and economic benefits to the breeding industry. Finally, it should be noted that the scope of application of the excipients is not limited to the category of animals previously tested, and the list of individual specific ingredients listed in the formula chart is not complete, but may be supplemented with other equivalent ingredients.
