Abstract

Treatment composition

The present invention relates to an inflatable cosmetic composition comprising metal particles.

Metal particles are widely used in personal care compositions such as the common anti-dandruff agent zinc salt.

However, compositions comprising such particulate materials may exhibit a grit-like appearance which renders the product unattractive to the consumer, particularly in the care product.

US 2004/0076651 (Wella) discloses a packaged, instant foam form of a cosmetic or dermatological ointment which may be a permanent blistering hair care cream. Examples are different amounts of cationic surfactants and other components such as ethanol.

The aerated product should not be confused with the bubble suspension in the composition. Cationic surfactant

Suitable cationic care surfactants can be used either singly or as a mixture.

Examples of suitable fatty alcohols include cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, and mixtures thereof. A suitable amount of the fatty alcohol material in the care product of the present invention is 0.01 to 10% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 5% by weight, based on the composition. The weight ratio of suitable cationic surfactant to fatty alcohol is from 10:1 to 1:10, preferably from 4:1 to 1:8, most preferably from 1:1 to 1:4.

Anthrone

The compositions of the present invention may include an anthrone, especially a ketone emulsion.

Suitable anthrone emulsions comprise such emulsions formed from anthrone, such as polydiorganosiloxanes, in particular polydimethyloxane having the CTFA designation dimethylfluorenone, having the CTFA name dimethyl A polydimethylsiloxane having a hydroxyl group-containing terminal group of an anthrone, and an amine-functional polydimethyloxane having a CTFA name of an amine-based eucalyptus oil.

Instance

The hair care composition specified in Table 1 was produced by the following preliminary methods.

Foam stability

Foam stability was measured using turbiscan measurements. The element of the Stabilizer Analyzer measurement measures backlight scattered light at 135 degrees.
