Abstract
Disclosed is a transparent substrate that has excellent dimensional stability, can significantly prevent the progress of cracking and breaking of an inorganic glass and has excellent flexibility. The transparent substrate comprises a 10-[mu]m to 100-[mu]m inorganic glass and a resin layer provided on one or both sides of the inorganic glass. The ratio of the total thickness of the resin layer to the thickness of the inorganic glass is 0.9 to 4. The elastic modulus of the resin layer at 25 DEG C is 1.5 GPa to 10 GPa. The fracture toughness of the resin layer at 25 DEG C is 1.5 MPam-1/2 to 10 MPam-1/2.
