Abstract

The present invention relates to a manufacturing process of aluminum alloy socket and sockets manufactured by the manufacturing process, which manufacturing process generally comprises the steps of: utilizing material of aluminum alloy, forging, processing, thermal treatment, surface treatment and anodic treatment; among the steps mentioned above, the necessary steps include: (A) a material of aluminum alloy with a pre-determined size is provided; (B) the aluminum alloy is forged to a semi-finished product; (C) the semi-finished product is processed with a fine treatment by lathing and trimming; (D) the semi-finished product is processed with heat treatment to enhance the structural strength and hardness thereof; (E) a thin film is formed on the surface of the semi-finished product by anodic treatment to ensure the effects of corrosion resistance and wearing resistance; while the remaining of the steps of processing and surface treatment can be applied according to actual applications. Since the material used in the manufacturing process is an aluminum alloy and since the hardness of the surface of the socket is provided by the anodic treatment, instead of the conventional method of electroplating which contains toxic elements, the aluminum alloy socket that is subjected to anodic treatment does not contain toxic elements and thus it comply with severe European requirements of ROHS. Further, the material of aluminum alloy itself has features of high recycling value and being light in weight so that complete recycling for re-use can be achieved and it is more convenient for carrying.
