Abstract
Regarding an optical device, the adhesion of the impurity is suppressed with low-cost, fusion of the optical fiber in the high power density area is prevented in addition, and the reliability of the light source is improved. An optical device 1 is provided with a light source LD, a condensing lens 3 for condensing light beam B distributed from the light source LD, a dielectric block 4 arranged on the optical path of the optical beam B passed the condensing lens 3, and an optical fiber 30 arranged where optical beam B passed dielectric block 4 is incident to the core 5 of an incidence face 30A. At least incidence face 5a of the core 5 is separated from an emergence face 4b of the dielectric block 4, and a sealed space SA enclosing incidence face 5a in core 5 is formed by pushing the portion that encloses incidence face 5a of the core 5 on the incidence face 30A in optical fiber 30 to the dielectric block 4.
