Abstract

An objective of the present invention is to simply know concentration of water treatment agent in installation site of thermal machines. A method of determining chelating agent of the present invention includes: a step of sampling sample water, a step of respectively adding first chemical containing metal indication chemical and second chemical containing pH adjusting agent into the sampled sample water, a step of dripping third chemical containing metallic salt, which would make said metal indication chemical discolor, to the sample water which has been added with said first chemical and said second chemical, and calculating the dripping quantity up to the sample water discoloring, and a step of specifying the concentration of chelating agent in the sample water according to the dripping quantity of said third chemical. Moreover, a determination kit for chelating agent according to the present invention is provided with a first container receiving first chemical containing metal indication chemical, a second container receiving second chemical containing pH adjusting agent, and third container receiving third chemical containing metallic salt which would make said metal indication chemical discolor.
