Abstract
To provide a spindle device capable of miniaturizing a device and easily determining life of spring for retaining a tool of a collet chuck. A pressure reduction valve 32 is adjusted such that pressure force of a piston 22 becomes the minimum pressure force satisfying a specification. A three-port solenoid valve 30 and a three-port solenoid valve 31 are turned ON and a dog 71 is arranged at a position where a sensor 72 of a push rod 20 is turned ON in a position where the piston 22 is stopped, namely a position where the pressure force of the piston 22 and repulsive force of the spring 8 are balanced. Then, when the sensor 72 is not turned ON when the three-port solenoid valve 30 and the three-port solenoid valve 31 are turned ON, it is determined that the spring 8 is finishing of the life.
