Abstract

An air treatment composition 520 optionally applied to an air filter 510, the composition having: therapeutic, aesthetic or cosmetic activity, such as biocidal or perfume activity, and release means, such as weak electrostatic or chemical bonding to restrain the activity whereby to prevent the composition, or the part thereof associated with the therapeutic, aesthetic or cosmetic activity being the active part, from becoming airborne 532 at normal room temperature and pressure, wherein, upon exposure of the composition to flowing air 531, the release means will release the first composition or the active part into the air stream 532 downstream of the filter.
