The method includes the steps of: putting a workpiece on a vision measuring machine; gainning current coordinates of an optics lens; compensating the precision of the coordinates, then obtaining compensated coordinates; adjusting the zoom multiple of the optics lens, moving the optics lens by operating a handle, and starting measure under the compensated coordinates; processing and calculating information on image character of the workpiece; outputting the information on image character of the workpiece.
