Abstract

A limited current circuit is disclosed. The limited current circuit is applied to a computer system having a USB device and a power adapter. The limited current circuit includes a voltage adjusting circuit, a switch circuit, a frequency adjusting circuit, a storage element and a comparator. The comparator is electrically coupled to the frequency adjusting circuit and the switch circuit and having a predetermined reference voltage for receiving a third voltage outputting from the frequency adjusting circuit and comparing with the predetermined reference voltage. The comparator will control the switch circuit turning on for transmitting a second voltage to the USE device via the switch circuit, when the third voltage is smaller than the predetermined reference voltage. The comparator will control the switch circuit turning off and the storage element will provide the operating voltage of the USB device, when the third voltage is greater than the predetermined reference voltage.
