Abstract
Methods for excavation the underwater plastic clay deposit includes an isolated space extended from ground surface to underwater plastic clay deposit and an excavation and transportation system to move the plastic clay to ground surface. Mechanical method includes a working and power table, a fixed outer pipe, an excavation machine system, and a transportation system. Working and power table are floated on water or fixed on ground which offers operation power and supports the fixed outer pipe. The fixed outer pipe holds in the working table and extends from the table to underwater clay deposit. Excavation system is insides the fixed outer pipe, and a suction out pipe, or a screw out pipe or dig out head to excavate the plastic clay. A transportation system is established to move the clay out of the excavated point. The contact surface of clay in excavation and transportation operation is lubricated by interfacial water film lubrication. The tunnel method of isolated space includes a tunnel extended from ground surface to plastic clay deposit, an excavation system and a transportation system. The tunnel is composed of a set of inclined shaft and adits or a set of vertical shaft and adits. The excavation apparatus is composed of a raise from adit to plastic clay and an excavation equipment. The transportation apparatus use belt conveyor, pipe line or hoist.
