Abstract

As soon as the guard time of the variable displacement compressor (141) is up, a R2 signal from an outdoor control part (140) is switched on (Operation I). In a control part (120) of a refrigerating unit when a R2 signal is switched on, if a request for starting refrigerating operation is determined by a temperature sensor (124) (Operation II) in accordance with the temperature in the refrigerator, a refrigerating solenoid valve (121) is opened (Operation III). Under normal circumstances when the refrigerating solenoid valve (121) is opened, a pressure sensor (146) detects the rise of the suction refrigerant pressure so as to determine whether to start the variable displacement compressor (141). However, when the outdoor air temperature is low, the suction refrigerant pressure should remain lower than the preset value. Then, the control part (120) starts a booster compressor (131) (Operation IV) to allow the suction refrigerant pressure of the variable displacement compressor (141) to rise.
