Abstract

The present invention relates to a polyester resin characterized in that it is an aromatic polyester having a dispersion ratio (Mw/Mn) of molecular weight dispersion of 3.00 or more and as main repeating units an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component. Because the flowability is improved, the amount of the aldehydes occurred during molding is low, and the polyester gives a molded article excellent in mechanical properties such as pressure resistance and the like during molding, and thus a molded article, especially a hollow molded article can be produced efficiently high speed molding, has little deformation during molding, excellent in heat-resistant dimensional stability, scarcely stains a mold and has excellent long-term continuous moldability. Moreover, a stretched polyester hollow molded article excellent in flavor-retaining property is provided.
