Abstract
Provided are an antiglare and reflective film as protective film excellent in durability and weather resistance and little color unevenness, and a process for producing the film cheaply and stabily. Furthermore, a polaring plate which may sufficiently prevent the enterance of foreign light and has excellent durability and good black steadiness as well as an image display device using it are provided. An antiglare and antireflective film is characterized in that it comprises a transparent support and thereon at least one antiglare hardcoat layer and at least one low refractive layer in this sequence, wherein the antiglare hardcoat layer contains a transparent particle giving the antiglare property, at least one element selected form cobalt, aluminum and zirconium having an average particle diameter of 100 nm or less, and contains at least one of a high refractive inorganic fine partice having titanium dioxide as the main component, and a matrix.
