Abstract

The present invention provides an architectural wood screw capable of further firmly fixing a hard board harder than wood material on a wood backing. The architectural wood screw has a stem part 2 with a thread 21, a head part 3 with a tool applying part 31 for screwing in the stem part, and having a diameter larger than that of the stem part 2, and a trumpet-shaped neck part 4 for diametrically expanding toward the head part from the stem part 2. In the thread 21 of the stem part, a driving side flank angle on the stem part tip side, is formed larger than an extraction side flank angle on the head part side. The trumpet-shaped neck part 4 is provided with a plurality of angle-shaped ribs 42 with a blade-like ridgeline 43 extending to the head part side from the stem part side of the surface. A planar flange part 32 continuing to the trumpet-shaped neck part 4 is arranged around the head part 3.
