Abstract

Disclosed is a conductive particle for anisotropic conductive adhesives which provides sufficient insulation to a fine-pitch connection terminal. The conductive particle (3) of the present invention comprises a conductive core (30) having a conductive surface. An insulating layer (31) is formed on the surface of the conductive core (30). Insulating fine particles (such as SiO2 particles) (32) which are harder than the insulating layer (31) are embedded in the insulating layer (31). As for the conductive core (30), it can be also applied to an insulating core whose surface is covered with a conductive layer. The average particle diameter of the insulating fine particles (32) is preferably not more than 1/5 of the average particle diameter of the conductive core (30). The insulating fine particles (32) are preferably embedded in the insulating layer (31) by hybridization.
