Abstract

The invention provides a cutting device to cut work-piece with high efficiency and high accuracy. The cutting device (10) includes: a main shaft (15), a first table (11) or the like, and a cutting-blade forming machine (14). The first table (11) is held in a relatively movable manner with respect to a rotary tool (16) mounted on the main shaft (15). The cutting-blade forming machine (14) is installed on the first table (11) and has a grinding head set (32) for grinding a cutting blade. The cutting-blade forming machine (14) grinds a plurality of chips (24) held around a tool body (20) of the rotary tool (16) fixed on the main shaft (15), by means of the grinding head set (32). These chips (24) are ground to form the cutting-blades (24a). Therefore, the rotary tool (16) made up of the tool body (20) and the cutting-blades (24a) arranged around the tool body is precisely produced and is then used for cutting of a work-piece with high efficiency and high accuracy.
