Abstract
A flat cable comprises a plurality of coaxial cables 20, which are aligned and retained in parallel with one another on a common plane by holding tape 27, each coaxial cable 20 comprising a core wire 21, an inner insulating layer 22, a shielding layer 23 and an outer insulating layer 24. An end portion of each coaxial cable 20 is positioned outside the holding tape 27, and within this end portion, provided are a pressure welding portion 22a and a grounding portion 23a. The pressure welding portion 22a is a part that extends inward from this outer end by a first predetermined length (a) and is removed of the outer insulating layer 24 and the shielding layer 23. The grounding portion 23a is a part removed only of the outer insulating layer 24 within a range that extends from the inward end of the pressure welding portion 22a by a second predetermined length (b), within which range, a band of the outer insulating layer 24 still remains unremoved by a predetermined width (c).
