Abstract
This invention provides novel ultra-thermophilic microorganisms. Ultra-thermophilic microorganisms (Caldothrix satsumae), originally from the compost fermented from organic waste above 85 DEG C, are belonged to new species and are able to growth above 80 DEG C. The microorganisms of this invention do not grow below 50 DEG C, actively grow at 70 to 85 DEG C, without spore formation and being Gram-negative absolute aerobic microorganisms. The microorganism of this invention can be used as the fermenting microorganisms in the production of organic waste compost by high temperature fermentation. Also, the microorganisms of this invention can be used in the production of enzymes with thermal stability.
