Abstract

The present invention relates to an RFID-based offline assessment scoring and handling system. The assessments or exams are a Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) style or any kind of matching words and expressions questions style. The system includes instructor and candidate devices and a cloud service platform. The candidate device allows the identification/authentication of the assessment participant using his RFID/NFC candidate card. Even more, the candidate device is used to introduce and save the assessment answers through an appropriate user interface (UI). After being assessed, the candidate saves all his answers, from his device, into his RFID/NFC card. The instructor device includes additional functionalities allowing the upload to the cloud of all candidates' answers gathered from their cards. All the assessment preparation, reviewing, scoring, and presentation tasks are performed with online services. The proposed system can be exploited as an attendee-checking system for training sessions or workshops.
