Изобретение относитс к использованию цемента Сорел в качестве гидравлического в жущего. До насто щего времени магнезиальные в жущие примен ютс только в сухих местах. Дл использовани цемента Сорел как гидравлическое в ж)щее рекомендуетс примен ть его в смеси с известными гидравлическими добавками (пемза, туф).This invention relates to the use of Sorel cement as a hydraulic binder. Твердение этого в жущего объ сн етс образованием гидрата окиси магни , а также хлорокиси магни . Mg(OH)2 - не растворимое, а хлорокись - растворимое в воде соединение. В отсутствии MgCb-MgO почти не реагируют с активным кремнеземом, ввиду незначительной растворимости MgO в воде , а значительна растворимость ее в растворе солей делает возможным ее взаимодействие с активным ЗЮз. Активный SiO2 гидравлической добавки адсорбирует MgO, образу при этом прочный не растворимый в воде продукт, а хлористый магний вымываетс водою. Опыты, проведенные в этом направлении, т. е. опыты по получению гидравлического в жущего с химически чистым SiO2, дали положительные результаты - прочность при водном и переменном хранении вдвое увеличиваетс по сравнению с воздушным хранением. При этом общее количество MgCb в образцах при переменном и водном хранении понижаетс до 0,3%. Далее следует отметить , что добавка SiO2, вступа во взаимодействие с MgO уменьшает и замедл ет образование хлорокиси магни в магнезиально-гидравлическом в жущем.Magnesium oxide is practically insoluble in water, and in solutions of salts, especially strong ones, it dissolves well.
