Small beets and beet tails, which hover over the grate of the tray that guides the beets to cutting, are usually retracted to the grate under the sink, where a significant part of them falls through the gaps in the grate and is carried away to the septic tanks with water and only a small amount of tails and small beets are left. it is usually unloaded manually and manually lifted up to the cuts.

The proposed device is designed to trap tails and small beets and guide them to cuttings without the use of manual labor.

A knee 2 is attached to the drain pipe 1 (Fig. 1), along which the collapsed grid of the tray placed between the elevator and the automatic scales, small beets and tails, are diverted. On the lower base of the knee 2 (Fig. 2) there is a hole covered by a movable platform o intended to regulate the passage of straw, dirt and water.

At the moment of falling, the tails and small beets, hitting the lower part of the knee, bounce upwards and fly over the opening for the passage of dirt, water and straw and thus directly into the cutting.

The accumulated dirt, straw and water are removed through the hole and through the funnel 3 through the pipe is discharged into the sewer. The gap between the knee 2 and the funnel 3 is made open for possible observation and cleaning of the pipes.

The described device, installed at the Nosov sugar factory, gave the inventor quite satisfactory results.
