On the Biepxy chimney of a steam locomotive, in the middle of its hole, a funnel-shaped cover is installed with a hole at the bottom. The cap is held above the tube by four rods b; which are reinforced in four points on the edge of the 10; howling pipe; on the bent lower ends of the rods, a ring is fixed in angular iron; along the circumference of a diameter meter, cuts are made in the ring of the lid, which are separated from one another by dividers T; the cuts are designed to place the wires c) and the dividers to form gaps between the two wires. At the same time, sparks flying together with (the ferry will encounter a barrier. Due to the long but narrow lumens and

vibrations of tensioned wires during steam, small sparks will stray from their path.

Tensioned wires of the lattice in a vertical position do not have on themselves any extraneous bindings that serve as thresholds for the deposition of sparks, ashes, etc .; the constant vibration of the wires eliminates sticking of the lumens.

Spark trap for locomotives, in the form of a bell-fitted cap, characterized by the use of rods b fixed to the pipe (Fig. 4 and 5) with their tops and lower ends bent away from the pipe, from which the upper ends support the funnel-shaped cap and the cap ; significant for the deviation of gases coming out of the pipe to the side of its axis, and the lower ones carry 1 ring in, which, as well as the outer edge of the cover: a, are provided on the periphery with radial cuts d (Fig. 3) and with hooks e, intended, those and others, in order to place parallel branches between cap a and ring b and bond the wire with them for the purpose of forming a lattice to stop sparks that could fall through the gap between the ring in to the pipe, formed by it and oyruzhayuyim its housing c.
