Abstract
FIELD: instrument-making industry, electronic and optical equipment. SUBSTANCE: highly purified arsenic, sulfur and selenium are melted together under temperature of 550 - 650 C in vacuumized quartz tube for 8 - 10 hours, Arsenic and sulfur are introduced in the form of monosulfide of arsenic, that is preliminary purified by vacuum distillation with specific speed of evaporation of (0.8 -1.0)х10g/cms. Light pipe is drawn from molten bath of produced chalcogenide glass. EFFECT: decreased optical losses in light pipe. 1 tbl
